So I bought, like, 20 balls of wool to do a range of the bubble hat pattern in ‘gradients’ with different shades of the same colour. I’ve started with the blue after a poll on my facebook page proved the most popular one (I can tell most of my page followers came from Mishaddicted – we do love our blue don’t we?)
I’m not going fast with these, cause at the moment I’m on a deadline of sorts knitting a baby blanket for my oldest, dearest friend who’s having her first baby in, like, 3 weeks… I gotta knit faster faster faster!
I have 4 different colour schemes for these hats – Blue (shown), green, purple and monochrome (black and shades of grey). I would have done pink, red or orange but there weren’t enough different shades of those in the brand that I buy for the hats to make it work, unfortunately. I may try with a different brand in future. I did just discover a new online yarn store who has some absolutely gorgeous looking dyes and colours.
Let me know if there’s anything you want to see me make, more colours or designs, I’m looking forward to doing something new once I’ve got the first batch of gradient hats done!
